A pair of low-profile Greek shipowners has emerged as major shareholders in Ellaktor — one of the country’s biggest construction companies.

Ellaktor said in a bourse filing on 15 December that Invesco Finance, an outfit owned in equal parts by Dimitris Bakos and John Kaimenakis, crossed the reporting threshold of 5%.

It is not clear if Bakos and Kaimenakis — co-founders and co-owners of Greek tanker player Altomare — acquired their Ellaktor holding in a single swoop or in incremental buys.
