The Tanzanian flag has said two vessels seized by Iran in the Middle East this week were no longer on its books.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said it had arrested two Tanzanian-flagged ships carrying 1.5m litres of smuggled diesel on Tuesday.
The ships were named as the Sea Ranger and the Salama.
