Charter contracts with Russia’s Sovcomflot (SCF Group) on aframax tankers and LNG carriers look to be at risk of cancellation after Shell announced today that it is making a phased pull-out from all Russian oil and gas business following the invasion of Ukraine.

Shell has two LNG dual-fuel aframaxes on long-term charters from Sovcomflot — the 114,000-dwt sisterships Gagarin Prospect (built 2018) and Samuel Prospect (built 2019).
