Executives at Swedish shortsea tanker specialist Terntank addressed the United Nations to urge governments to set up funds to back green shipping.

Managing director Tryggve Moller and finance officer Dick Hoglund were in New York to deliver speeches at the UN Ocean Conference. Both spoke at yesterday's Swedish Initiatives for Agenda 2030 event organised by Zero Vision Tool, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and other partners.

Moller outlined the LNG4Solution joint industry project (JIP) that saw the Donso-based company order its series of four LNG-powered shortsea tankers at Avic Dingheng in China as part of the drive to substantially reduce harmful emissions and develop LNG infrastructure in the Baltic/North Sea area.
