The orderbook might be at a multi-decade low, but there are still hundreds of inactive tankers ready to start trading again, according to Alphatanker.

In its monthly report, AXSMarine's research arm said there were 428 ships above 34,000 dwt being kept out of active trading, which the firm expects to re-enter an ailing market in the next six to nine months.
