Agritrade Resources’ expansion of its VLCC fleet looks to have paid off for the company after its shipping arm booked a 75% increase in operating results.
Its tanker, bulker and tug arm achieved an operating profit of HKD 80.9m ($10.4m) against the HKD 46.2m seen a year ago, while revenue was HKD 146.8m versus the HKD 79.1m seen in 2015.
Agritrade Resources said its two VLCCs contributed to group net profits to the tune of HKD 70.3m
