Evangelos Pistiolis-led Top Ships has sold off a pair of modern medium-range-two tankers to US-based financial buyers, according to market sources in Athens.
Some brokers identified the buyer as investment banking giant JP Morgan.
New-York listed Top Ships has raised around $70m from selling the 50,100-dwt Stenaweco Elegance (built 2017) and the 49,700-dwt Eco Palm Desert (built 2018), TradeWinds has learned.
