VLCC owners opting to fit scrubbers face missing out on the current strong rates due to huge delays at shipyards.
“Less than half of the planned scrubber retrofits on large tankers have been completed so far,” said Anoop Singh, Braemar ACM’s Singapore-based regional head of tanker research.
