Turkey’s Yasa Holding is making a comeback in the suezmax tanker sector. Yasa Tanker has signed up for a pair of scrubber-fitted, 158,000-dwt crude carriers at South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding.

It is not known whether any options are included.

Yasa Holding board member Emirhan Sabanci confirmed talks with the yard, saying: “I can say that we are in discussion with Daehan for early 2022 slots for two suezmaxes for over $60m each, with upgrades and extras.”
