Cargill, Mitsui and Maersk Tankers have launched a green technology service to help shipowners and operators cut their greenhouse gas emissions.

The Njord service aims to bring owners, charterers and financiers together to accelerate cost-effective and industry-wide reductions, the companies said.

The trio will use their combined technical and operational expertise to provide a full package that can help increase the energy efficiency of vessels across the tramp and liner markets.
