Businesses involved in cutting-edge shipping technology are at high risk of being targeted by state-backed cyber spies, a Norwegian player has warned.
The Nordic Maritime Cyber Resilience Centre (Norma Cyber) warned Chinese, Russian and Indian groups are all trying to plunder maritime secrets.
According to the group’s threat assessment for 2025, espionage groups are trying to secure advanced technology that will help them build their military and economic capabilities.
