Sweden's Stena Line says it has achieved the world's first ship bunkering using recycled methanol.

The green fuel was made from captured residual steel gases and loaded on to the 1,300-berth ropax Stena Germanica (built 2001) in Gothenburg for a trip to Kiel in Germany on 22 June.

The ferry had already made history by becoming the first methanol-powered vessel in 2015, following conversion work.
