Windship Technology, the UK-based firm that has developed a design for a claimed-to-be fully zero-emission ship, has appointed a chief executive to its board as it seeks to build a more commercial structure.

Naval architect Graham Harvey, the former managing director of advanced composite materials company SP Systems until it was acquired by engineering group Gurit, will head up Windship’s drive to commercialise its technology.

“I am convinced that Windship Technology is the only company in the world right now capable of achieving the complete elimination of CO2, NOX, SOX and particulate matter to true zero,” Harvey said.
