The number of zero-emission ship projects has risen significantly in the last six months, with schemes in Asia nearly doubling and ammonia emerging as a leading alternative fuel being tested for big ships.
Projects identified rose in number to 106, from 66 in August 2020, said the Getting to Zero Coalition. The group pointed to schemes focusing on ship technologies, fuel production and bunkering, as well as recharging facilities.
