Greece’s Seajets Catamaran JV has secured a remarkable 75% profit from a vintage panamax bulker that it acquired on the cheap almost two years ago from George Economou’s DryShips.
The Marios Iliopoulos-led company is said to have found Chinese buyers for the 74,800-dwt Haris Athina (built 2001) at a price of about $7.5m.
Seajets was unavailable to comment on the deal.
