A gradual generational change is taking place at Meyer Werft as long-time figurehead Bernard Meyer begins to hand responsibility to other family members.
Founded in 1795, the Meyer Werft group is now run by a seventh generation with three sons at the top — Jan, Tim and Paul.
Jan became chief executive at Meyer Turku in Finland when it was taken over, while Tim is managing director in Papenburg with Paul as chief information officer.
