Hot late-afternoon sunshine bathed the courtyard outside the small church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the first guests began to arrive. The church sits high on a hill above Saronida which overlooks the Saronic Gulf.
As he waited for his bride to appear a relaxed and happy Polys chatted and joked with some of his 11 best men.
