A new marine heavy-transport player has emerged after a recent order for two icebreaking vessels at Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) in China.

Incorporated in Hong-Kong in the middle of this year, ZPMC-Red Box Energy Services made its first move by splashing out $320m on the newbuildings, which are set for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2015.

TradeWinds understands the vessels will start operations at the vast Yamal LNG project in Russia under five-year contracts worth $500m in total.
