Golar chief executive Gary Smith tells TradeWinds that the company’s 140,650-cbm Golar Arctic (built 2005) is leaving Singapore this week at the start of a two-year charter to Jamaican project developer New Fortress Energy (NFE) and heading to Qatar where it will pick up a first cargo for the new venture.

From April, the ship will be berthed alongside an existing jetty at Bogue, Montego Bay, from where it will take on cargoes from visiting vessels.
