The 126,540-cbm Matthew (built 1979) — until recently in the fleet of French energy major Engie — has emerged under the new name Ocean Quest and the control of Hong Kong LNG Ltd.
The ship is believed to be intended for a storage job at an LNG island hub under development on Pagbilao Island in the Philippines.
But, for the time being, it is still idle off Malta, where it has remained since ceasing to trade for Engie at the end of May.
