Lomar Shipping is beefing up its containership desk with the appointment of a top chartering man from Maersk Line.
Maersk senior chartering manager Andrea Aiello is jumping ship to handle the expanding chartering needs of the UK-based tonnage provider. Aiello is expected to relocate to London at the start of May. He has spent eight years handling Maersk’s chartering needs in Copenhagen, primarily for vessels from 2,000 teu up to panamaxes and including wide-beam vessels of 4,500 to 5,400 teu.
