Adam Polemis’ New Shipping is splashing out a total of around $340m on up to five VLCCs from two companies linked with China’s HNA Group and adding a sixth tanker in a separate deal.
Market sources say the Greek owner has signed a letter of intent (LOI) for up to four VLCCs with the shipbuilding arm of HNA Group, Jinhai Heavy Industry.
