Boland Marine & Industrial is seeking $1.7m from New York-based Bouchard Transportation for work it performed on six Bouchard tugboats and five barges.
The Louisiana repair yard sent an invoice for $1.45m with a 1.5% per month interest rate to Bouchard for repairing and storing the vessels at its two wharves in the Port of New Orleans.
When Bouchard had not paid the invoice for just over eight months, Boland filed a lawsuit for $1.73m,
