What was your earliest memory?
Travelling from Saudi Arabia to Japan on a supertanker in the early 1970s. My father was the captain.
Did you go through training/university or straight into work?
University studies were a must for me immediately after finishing school. I was keen to discover the world of mathematics and computers. My first paid job was to give mathematics lessons to younger students.
