Regional Container Lines (RCL) has ended an eight year newbuilding drought to order two new feeder containerships in China.
It has booked two 1,688-teu Bangkokmax vessels at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding for delivery in August and October 2017.
RCL said the vessels are costing $23m each with tail heavy payment terms including 75% of the price payable on delivery of the vessel.
