French container line CMA CGM is introducing a new service to strengthen its Mediterranean presence.
The company said the WEMED run is its first to be dedicated fully to Med nations.
It directly links France, Spain and Algeria to Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt via Malta.
The owner will use four ships of between 1,200 teu and 1,700 teu to offer transit times of seven to nine days.
