Icelandic container line Eimskip has avoided a strike on its vessels by agreeing a new pay deal with crews.
The Iceland Seaman’s Union has approved the pact up to the end of 2020, the owner said.
As a result, a walk-out set for 16 January has been called off.
Talks had been going on for months over a new agreement for crews on ships travelling to and from Iceland.
