Traditional German companies ER Capital Holding and Rickmers Holding are currently reviewing a merger of their shipmanagement business.
The two companies said a declaration of intent has been signed regarding the formation of a new global joint venture.
If the deal materialises, the new company will manage around 220 vessels.
According to the companies’ websites, ER Schiffahrt manages around 90 ships and Rickmers Maritime Services has nearly 130 under its umbrella.
