Ferry operator Nova Star Cruises has filed for bankruptcy in Canada with debts of more than CAD 15m ($12m).
The move comes months after it ceased running a service from Yarmouth in Canada to Maine in the US.
Trustee Deloitte Restructuring posted the bankruptcy notification on Wednesday, saying Nova Star went bankrupt on 13 April, according to CBC.
The first meeting of creditors will take place on 4 May.
