SITC International Holdings has reported a mixed operational performance for the first quarter of 2016, newly released figures show.
The China-based containership and logistics group said it carried 518,128-teu in the first three months of 2016, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%.
However, it said its average freight rate for the quarter, excluding slot exchange fee income, fell 9.4% year-on-year to $403 per teu.
