Digital solutions will be top of the agenda when Norwegian bulker owner Torvald Klaveness opens a temporary office in Tokyo next month.
The company will base employees in the city between 3 and 14 September to meet clients and other shipowners and operators.
"Instead of sending staff on regular business trips to Japan for a day or two, we decided last year to set up an office for two weeks in Tokyo to allow our managers to spend more time with our close clients," it said.
