Coronavirus is feared to be spreading on a Holland America Line cruiseship after 47 crew and 30 passengers reported sick with “influenza like symptoms”.
Yesterday, only 42 crew and passengers onboard the 1,432-berth Zaandam (built 2000) reported as sick. The ship, which is under the umbrella of cruise giant Carnival Corp, is currently off Ecuador.
Coronavirus has not been confirmed yet as the cause of the illness as there are no testing kits onboard.
