A Filipino crewman has been arrested after a colleague was stabbed to death on a Greek boxship in Sri Lanka.
The 1,708-teu Smiley Lady (ex-ER Durban, built 1999) was docked in Colombo when the incident occurred last Thursday, police told local media.
The suspect was said to be the vessel's chief cook.
The stabbing took place near the galley shortly after midnight and the victim was identified as able seaman Jamro Borer Alejandro, 26.
