The US Coast Guard (USCG) has successfully airlifted the skipper from a chemical tanker off the coast off the US State of Louisiana.
The USCG watchstanders in New Orleans were alerted to the possible medical emergency aboard the 50,500-dwt FMPC 28 (built 2011) at 05:45 am local time.
The unnamed crewmember on the Formosa Plastics Marine Corp vessel was reported suffering from chest pains.
