Euronav says it has contracted SMIT Singapore and PT Samudera Indonesia to assist a VLCC that went aground off Indonesia last week.
The Belgian tanker owner said the refloating of the 299,446-dwt Alex (built 2016) will include lightening of the vessel by ship to ship transfer of cargo.
Euronav said that the necessary arrangements for anti-pollution, fire-fighting and security at the site have been agreed following meetings with Indonesian Authorities.
