A Turkish tanker has been stabilised after suffering water ingress in the Aegean Sea.

The 10,900-dwt T.Caroline (built 2009) was en route from Aliaga to Mersin with 19 crew on Saturday when it took on water in the engine room, leading to a loss of power.

A port tug from Aliaga used its pumps to bring the situation under control, the DHA news agency reported.
