The fire aboard the 11,000-dwt Britannia Seaways (built2000) broke out on Saturday night during stormy weatherin the North Sea off Norway.
Reportssaid 32 were trapped on the vessel when 7,000l of fuel belonging to Norway’sarmed forces caught alight.
Butthe heavy weather forced rescuers to call off helicopters trying to lift thecrew and military personnel off the ship.
However,the ferry was able to make it to Floro under its own power where fire crews putout the blaze on Sunday morning.
