The owner said there were no injuries among the 3,000 passengers and crew of the 82,000-gt Westerdam (built 2004) after the incident on Saturday.
It said the “small fire” was quickly extinguished, according to the UPI news agency.
The Seattle Times said flames were spotted while the ship was in Puget Sound.
Crew put it out, but it later restarted.
No evacuations were needed, firefighters reported.
