The IANS news agency said the Indian Coast Guard was alerted on Saturday as the 109,000-dwt Ocean Crown (built 2007) was off Mumbai.
The captain said the crewmen had sustained accidental injuries on Friday night and first aid had proved insufficient.
The ship was heading from Gujarat to Brazil.
A Chetak helicopter landed and took them off the vessel.
