MarShip Bereederung GmbH, technical managers of the 9,382-dwt Thor Commander (built 2011) confirmed in a statement that the vessel has now safely reached the port of Gladstone, with the assistance of the ocean tug Smit Leopard.
“The vessel remains in a stable condition with all crewmembers safe, no ingress of water and no incidence of pollution,” MarShip Bereederung said.
“A full inspection and assessment into the best means of repair will now be made to ensure the safety of the vessel, crew and the marine environment.
