Shipping sources say Excelerate Energy’s 138,000-cbm vessel Excellence (built 2005) has now arrived on site in preparation for conducting an operation to lighten the stricken 2009-built Teekay ship to allow it be refloated.
But it is as yet unclear when ship-to-ship cargo offloading operations will commence.
Magellan Spirit, which was fixed on a three-year charter to Vitol, is carrying a cargo of 163,000 cbm of LNG.
