“The long range weather forecast is now indicating that it is unlikely that the Hoegh Osaka will be moved from Alpha Anchorage to a berth at Southampton on Wednesday,” it said.
The MCA said the Hoegh-owned ship will now stay at the anchorage until the list has been reduced to around 15 degrees.
The enclosed photograph shows the vessel lying at 39 degrees, with the white marks on the hull indicating the improving angle of list.
