The Panamanian-flagged 6,350-teu MOL Precision (built 2002) was stopped in the US west coast port of Seattle after arriving from South Korea.

PSC officers, from USCG sector Puget Sound, are said to have discovered several “significant violations” during an examination of the ship.

Violations included defective oil bilge line filtering equipment, missing security training records, and not sending required ballast tank information to the National Ballast Information Clearinghouse (NBIC) prior to entering a US port.
