Danske Faerger's 14,600-gt Hammerodde (built 2005) was leaving Koge on the night of 26 March when the incident occurred, local media reported.
Two Svitzer tugs towed the vessel back to the dock. It was carrying 39 people.
Diver inspections revealed damage to the bottom of the hull and the ferry lost two propeller blades.
The ship will be drydocked at Landskrona. It could be out of action for several weeks, according to its operator.
