A panamax owned by Navios Maritime Partners ran aground in Argentinean waters yesterday.
The 75,756-dwt Navios Sagittarius (built 2006) got stuck in the Parana River, close to San Lorenzo port.
Maritime agency NABSA said the vessel was proceeding to the manoeuvring area in order to make a turn and continue to downstream navigation when the incident occurred.
It added that the Navios Sagittarius was trying to refloat under its own steam.
