A domestic bulker has been severely damaged by an accommodation block fire in Vietnam.
The incident happened on the 27,700–dwt South Star (built 1985) on Tuesday afternoon at anchorage in Tonkin Bay northeast of Haiphong, local media said.
Tugs, police and the coast guard joined in efforts to bring the blaze under control.
The fire was extinguished after two hours and no injuries were reported.
