The Uruguayan navy has helped extinguish a blaze on a Chinese bulker that left it unable to manoeuvre.
The 81,000-dwt Fortune Harmony (built 2013) sent a distress signal on 23 September saying a fire had broken out in one of the cabins and spread to the superstructure.
It was moored 20 miles from Piriapolis on the Rio de La Plata at the time, local media said.
