Container ship recycling has dried up completely but could be back with a bang next year, say analysts.
The container sector recorded zero demolitions in the first half of the year as recycling sales hit historic lows, according to Alphaliner.
The drought follows poor recycling figures in 2021, when only 16 boxships with total capacity of 16,500 teu were scrapped.
