Lou Kollakis is closing in on his second capesize acquisition of 2016, brokers say.
His Chartworld Shipping is reported to have secured a former Cobelfret ship at SWS for a price of $33m.
However, brokers tell TradeWinds it is believed a deal has yet to be finalised.
They describe Kollakis as the front-runner for the vessel, for which the yard is understood to be seeking a slightly higher figure.
