A resurgent Eagle Bulk Shipping has made its biggest move yet with acquisition of up to nine secondhand ultramaxes from Greenship Bulk Trust for $153m.
Word of the en bloc deal for bulkers averaging about three years old circulated among brokers this afternoon.
Eagle Bulk later confirmed that it is buying at least six, and potentially all nine, ships from Greenship, which trades on the Norwegian over-the-counter market.
